Bradley's on easy Skeete

Battersea welterweight prospect Bradley ‘Super’ Skeete had a comfortable Saturday night at Wembley Arena as he outclassed awkward Isle Of Wight Assassin Jay Morris in five one-sided rounds, writes Ziad Chaudry.

The 24-year-old former Earlsfield ABC star was in cruise control throughout his first six rounder.

As his work-rate increased, Skeete made sure of professional victory number five when referee Ken Curtis saved the lacklustre and bled-nosed battered Morris from receiving further punishment 19 seconds of the fifth round.

“It was a really good and easy night,” said Skeete.

“Everything was coming off the jab, the jab was working nice.

“As I was letting the right hand go, he was walking into them. It was only a matter of time before I stepped up a gear and got him out of there so I was well pleased.

“I’m pleased that I’ve made the step up to six rounds and I’ve got through this fight with flying colours.

“As my career’s been going on, I was a high level as an amateur but I’m always on the phone to Dean [Powell, Frank Warren's matchmaker] and he said the time’s right to do six.

"I’ve had the right fights at the right time. It’s all coming nice and slowly and there’s big things to come.”

Skeete will next fight on December 16 at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
