Cheam continued their impressive form in the New Surrey League with a 64-46 win over Sutton - taking eight of the 10 league points on offer.

Eamon Nolan’s rink, having stormed to a 17-3 lead at the halfway stage, kept the margin at 14 by the 15th end and finished the game with a 10 shot lead.

Gareth McDonagh skipped to a 12 shot win while Mike Haigh’s rink, despite a five at the 21st end, succumbed to John Roll’s four, all of whom bowled confidently.

Cheam ran out 73-46 winners at Rosehill in the Yonwin Cup.

Rosehill kept their visitors in check for most of the game, but Alan Gover, John Hannon, Mick Gray and Gary Stevens provided a sufficient cushion for Cheam in the early stages – 19 shots up at the 10th – to ensure victory.
