Hampton & Richmond Borough chairman Steve McPherson has set boss Mark Harper the target of winning 13 points from 10 games to secure Blue Square South survival.

The Beavers were held 0-0 by fellow strugglers Maidenhead United at the Beveree on Saturday as they bettle against the drop.

Hampton have lost just four of their last 16 league and cup games, but have drawn seven of those encounters and MacPherson admitted that must change if they to retain their Blue Square South status this term.

"We got 42 points last year and stayed up and that is not out of the question this time around," he said.

"There are three home games in April that are crucial and I think if we can get seven points from those, we will be well on the way to being OK.

"We don't want it to go down tothe final day of the season, but if it does we will have to deal with that when it happens.

"Considering the budget we had last season was double that of this, Mark (Harper) will have done a superb job if we stay up."
