New Malden's Tom Onslow-Cole is confident of achieving his first podium finish in this season's British Touring Car Championship on Sunday, at the scene of his first saloon-car victory.
The 20-year-old VX Racing driver is yet to finish in the top three since switching from Team RAC over the winter, but has a creditable 20 points after six of this year's 30 races.
Onslow-Cole trails leader and VX Racing team-mate Fabrizio Giovanardi by 43 points in the drivers' championship table and hopes good weather at Donington Park will bless his first time behind the wheel of his Vauxhall Vectra since setting a lap record at Rockingham in April.

"I like Donington. It is a quick track and I feel really positive because I had my first saloon-car victory here," he said. "It would be nice if the rain would hold-off for once, though."
Onslow-Cole has had a troubled start to life with his new team, being forced to retire in the final race at Rockingham and enduring mixed fortunes at the opening meeting at Brands Hatch.
Team boss Ian Harrison said: "I am reasonably happy with how the team is performing.
"From the start of the season, the commitment has been there to see, but there is always room for improvement.
"If we remain focused, there is no reason for us not to have a good run at Donington."
