Wimbledon's Kelvin Reilly finished sixth in the opening round of the KTM Super Duke Battle and Thruxton, after a breathtaking recovery from a final corner incident, writes Sam Farrington.

Reilly entered the final chicane in third before coming together with Alex Gault in a battle for the final podium position.

The rear of Gault's bike touched Reilly's brake lever, catapulting him two feet out of his seat. But, to the amazement of Reilly and the on-looking fans, he landed back on his InMoto backed machine, to come across the line in sixth.
