Boss Dave Anderson says justice has prevailed after AFC Wimbledon's 18-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player was slashed by the FA.
A Soho Square appeal on Monday ruled that Dons should be docked just three points for fielding Jermaine Darlington without the necessary international clearance after his move from Cardiff City to Kingsmeadow.
The decision leaves AFC Wimbledon in the final play off spot - two points ahead of Margate.
"I've always looked at it in the way that if I thought the worst then anything after that would be a bonus," said Anderson.
"I think that they've got it right.
"All we wanted is to have a punishment that fits the crime and I think the case that the club has put together was very good.

"A lot of people have put a lot of hard work into the case and it has been rewarded. They deserve to have a couple of drinks tonight and celebrate what they have achieved."
Anderson says he and his players are now fully focused on their promotion push.
"It is time for the club to celebrate, but the players haven't got anything to celebrate just yet," he said.
"We have had nothing to do with the appeal. Our job has been to remain focused on what's happening on the field and to keep the pressure off the players - and I feel we've done that quite well.
"It is time for us to kick on again, hopefully this will give the players a big lift. There has been a lot of pressure on them with this hanging over their heads.
"This now gives the players a chance to achieve something ."
