Rosler: Bees knew what Berahino could do

A debut brace from Saido Berahino helped Brentford on their way to a 4-0 win over Carlisle United at Griffin Park on Tuesday, but his heroics came as no surprise to Bees boss Uwe Rosler.

The 18-year-old West Brom loanee, a first half substitute for hip injury victim Gary Alexander, fired home either side of half time to add to first half goals from Harlee Dean - his first in league football - and Sam Saunders.

"Yes, he looked sharp, but we knew he would," said Rosler.

"Given he is only 18-years-old you couldn't ask any more from him.

"He looked brilliant in training, looked a good finisher and has good movement - he showed that tonight.

"His goals were superb and his movement for his age was very, very good.

"The most impressive was how he used his body. He is not the tallest, but he is so smart. He uses his body well by bumping into defenders and rolling them. They couldn't handle him."
