AFC Wimbledon have made a double swoop in the loan market, bringing in Brentford midfielder Jake Reeves and Bournemouth left-back Jonathan Meades.

The 19-year-old Reeves and 20-year-old Meades have signed a two-month deals and will go straight into the League Two squad for tomorrow night's trip to Exeter City.

Dons boss Neal Ardley said: "Jonathan came through the academy when I was at Cardiff.

"A big plus is that he can play in a number of positions. Though he is a left-back, he can also play in midfield, and that is why I wanted him ahead of other players.

"Jonathan was in the same U16s team at Cardiff as Adam Matthews, who is now at Celtic, but a few niggling injuries stopped him getting into the first-team squad at Cardiff.”

On Reeves, Ardley said: "I first saw Jake play in an U21s match against Cardiff and he stood out in that game.

"Simon Bassey has scouted him recently and the feedback we have had from other contacts about him has been outstanding.

"That made it a no-brainer to sign him and he will boost our midfield options."
