Lateral thinking: Dons keeper James Pullen makes a great save against Billericay Town Deadlinepix Chris Gray CG0034
Terry Brown admits he is still searching for the right formula up front as AFC Wimbledon all but secured their place in the Ryman League Premier Division play-offs at the weekend.
Saturday's hard-fought 2-1 victory over visitors Billericay Town strengthened the Dons' grip on second spot with just three games to play.
But Brown revealed he was still not happy with his strike pairings.
He said: "I started with Luis Cumbers and Elliot Buchanan up front to give that a go.
"It was very much about having a look at the partnerships and seeing which system suits us well.
"I also wanted to give Nic McDonnell a go and, with Romone Rose in there as well, we have plenty of options."

The Dons had to come from behind on Saturday, with second-half goals from Marcus Gayle and a last-gasp Robin Shroot winner.
And Brown admitted it was a vital triumph.
He added: "It was a big game for us as we had lost our past two home games.
"When they scored, you started to feel the crowd getting restless and, when you have more than 2,000 people there, it can make the players nerv-ous."
Dons now enter a crucial week, during which they face fellow play-off hopefuls Ashford Town on Saturday, followed by a showpiece friendly clash with Corinthian Casuals at Wembley a day later.
But Brown was clear on where his priorities lay.
He said: "The focus is very much on Ashford Town.
"All talk of Wembley is banished in the dressing room - anybody who mentions it is being fined.
"That is not to belittle the occasion, but our aim for this season is promotion and Saturday is a far more important game for us."
