Sutton United midfielder Craig Dundas is resisting the urge to think about Wembley, but he has admitted the thought has crossed his mind.

United host Curzon Ashton of the National League North in the second round of the FA Trophy at Gander Green Lane this weekend, with a cheque for £6,000 and a place in the last 16 up for grabs.

Fate may be on United's side after their reprieve against Concord Rangers in the third qualifying round, and a win on Saturday would put them three wins from the home of English football.

Dundas also knows the value of a home draw, especially when United's form at the Lane is so imperious boasting four wins in four games, culminating in last weekend's 5-0 hammering of St Alban's City.

Dan Fitchett is also a man in form, claiming a hat-trick in the National League South win, alongside goals from Ross Stearn and a first senior goal for Tommy Wright.

Dundas said: "At the start of any competition it’s the dream to play at Wembley, but whether that happens or not is another thing completely.

"It’s always about what draw you get. Every time you get half decent draw, especially at home, that gives you a chance – then sure, you start thinking about the possibilities."

He added: "Our form has picked up a bit after a shaky start to the season, and at the moment we think we can be winning any home - we have that confidence."

Curzon Ashton sit in 11th in the National North table, and are without a win in three league games.
