Buckwell keeps the faith
Epsom & Ewell boss Lyndon Buckwell believes having faith in his side will pay dividends next season after seeing his side overwhelm North Greenford on Saturday, writes Chris Willsmer.
After a goalless first half, Epsom had to wait before they made the breakthrough on their way to a 3-0 victory, setting set them up for their re- arranged match with Egham Town on Tuesday night.
Epsom's victory put them ninth in the Combined Counties and Buckwell insists he won't change a winning team after four triumphs in their past five games.
"We played really well and could've been three up at half time.
"Luckily we took our chances in the second half, and got the goals."
"We were losing 2-1 originally, so it's a bit of a reprieve, but I am definitely going to keep things the same after the way the boys have played recently."
But despite the side is solid campaign Buckwell remains cautious on Epsom's chances next year.
"It's our aim to finish higher this year. A couple of wins and we could finish 6th, which would be a success. I won't go looking for players, the league's strong, but were going to keep with what we've got," he added.
Remaining fixtures: Apr 26 Sandhurst Town (a).
