Corinthian Casuals boss Kim Harris has called for his side's abandoned Surrey Senior Cup semi final clash with Sutton United to be replayed.

Ryman Division One South Casuals were 2-0 down with 17 minutes remaining when the floodlights went out at King George's Field on Tuesday night - a blown fuse the culprit.

A Surrey FA committee is likely to rule on whether the result stands or not and Harris knows exactly which outcome he would prefer.

"I'm not saying we were going to win, but we had our chances during the game," he said.

"They deserved to be in front. They are a good side.

"But you only have too look back at our last home game to see what can happen in the closing stages of a game.

"We were 2-1 up in the 87th minute and lost 3-2.

"I don't know what happens now, but it should be replayed. We deserve another go."

United boss Paul Doswell, who is attempting to mastermind a Blue Square South play-off bid, was less enthusiastic after seeing a Romone McCrae brace give his side a 2-0 advantage inside 20 minutes.

"It is a disaster for us if it is replayed. I don't even know if we have a free midweek to play it," he added.

"We has a strong side out tonight and I don't think that we'd be able to do that again with the games we have coming up."
