The power of the football agent is not all it seems after failed negotiations over a new contract initially led to Louis John's departure from Sutton United.
At the beginning of the week, the England C international and his agent tried to negotiate better terms, leading United boss Paul Doswell to close the door on the 22-year-old.
However, after a period of "reflection" the defender today (Wednesday) contacted Doswell to announce he would sign the original deal, and Doswell has agreed.
Doswell said: "Louis wanted more money because he wanted to move out of home, but he also wants to continue his development with us, and I am more than happy with that.
"I would never burn bridges with Louis. He is a good lad, and I think he took some time to reflect on the situation before changing his mind and coming back to me."
