Steve Cordery, the Staines Town manager, is adamant his squad doesn’t need to be rebuilt over the close season.
The unwavering Swans chief admits his phone has been ringing off the hook already with potential new players – but doesn’t see the need for a summer refurb.
The club were promoted into the Blue Square South after winning the Ryman Premier play-offs either this month.
The team that achieved that honour last year, AFC Wimbledon, cleared the decks within days of grabbing their Conference South place.
The Dons went on to win the title but Cordery won’t be wielding his axe in a major confidence boosted to his play-off winning side.
He said: “Hand on heart I have total faith that all my squad can cope with playing in the Blue Square South.
“No manager at this time of the year will ever say there won’t be some comings and goings but what I’m saying is that it won’t be sweeping changes.”
Staines clinched promotion into Non-League’s second tier after defeating Carshalton 1-0 in extra-time.
