Love may be in the air, but the impending nuptials of Met Police skipper Steve Sutherland was not the Valentine’s Day gift boss Jimmy Cooper, was looking for.
Sutherland will miss Saturday’s crunch trip to Cray Wanderers on his stag party, before he ties the knot next weekend when boss Jimmy Cooper’s men take on struggling Horsham.
The Imber Court outfit, without a league win since December 17, have slipped to eighth in the Ryman Premier League table, but Cooper was not about to panic.
“The squad is refreshed. We need to win and will be looking for the three points. We’ve got an excellent team and have three games in hand on some teams,” he said.
