Loan star Greg Andrews may have recaptured his goalscoring touch at Walton & Hersham, but he is not expecting a recall to Leatherhead any time soon.

The prolific Tanners front man, currently on loan at Stompond Lane, scored on his Swans debut in a 4-1 Ryman Division One South defeat to Chipstead last week and followed it up with the second in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Corinthian Casuals.

Meanwhile, the Tanners lost 5-0 to Bury Town in the Ryman Premier League before bouncing back with a 2-0 win over Margate on Tuesday to leave them two points from safety.

Swans boss Chuck Martini’s side has struggled to score this term and the former Epsom & Ewell striker reckons that is where he comes in.

“Walton have got a really good squad, but for some reason they are just not getting the results,” he said last week.

“There is the quality there but the pitch at Stompond Lane doesn’t help.

“Hopefully, I can get a few goals and Walton can start turning their season around.

“I haven’t heard anything about going back. I’ve still got a few weeks here so we will see what happens.”

Martini, whose side host Hythe Town on Saturday, added: “If we can hold on to him then we will continue to climb up the league. There is no doubt about that.

“If he leaves, we will deal with that when it happens.”
