Hampton & Richmond Borough boss Mark Harper is confident in-form frontman Charlie Moone can fire his side to Blue Square South safety.
New signing Joel Ledgister has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a fractured patella suffered in the Middlesex Senior Cup triumph over Hendon last week.
Moone responded with a hat-trick in a 4-3 triumph over Truro City at the Beveree on Saturday and he was again influential in the 2-2 draw with Dover Athletic on Tuesday.
And Harper hoped he could repeat the trick during the run-in.
“It is a blow for Joel. We paid money for him and to lose him straight away is massive as he is a good player,” he said ahead of today’s visit of Maidenhead United.
“Charlie has looked sharp, which is encouraging. We need that to continue.”
