78 min: Backs to the wall stuff from Palace now. United are throwing everything at them. Palace counter though and Rui sets up Hills only for him to scuff his shot.

75 min: Every time a United player even gets close to a Palace one he is going down clutching his face. Appalling tactics.

72 min: SUB: Stokes off, Hills on. That's probably the last we will see of him at Palace. Hills has gone left wing.

64 min: Reading have pulled one back so there's still hope for United if they can score.

63 min: Speroni has earned his money today as he produces another super save to deny Ward and then tips Henderson’s header over.

59 min: Sheffield struggle to clear a long ball and it falls to Danns and he brings a good save from Kenny. Danns and Carle then get in each others way on the follow up.

57 min: Palace should be ahead as Carle puts Danns through but he shoots an inch wide and drops to the floor in disbelief. Sheffield are rocking.

55 min: SUB. Moses cannot go on and is replaced by Rui Fonte. He gets a standing ovation as he goes off.

53 min: Ertl fires over from Kuqi's pull back then down the other end Ward shoots at Speroni.

52 min: Moses back on with a bit of a hobble. Let's hope he can run it off.

50 min: Moses down clutching his calf and he looks in some discomfort. Might just be cramp.

48 min: Great chance for Palace as Kuqi flicks on for Moses. He runs through on goal but under pressure from Walker shoots tamely at Kenny. Palace have started the second half well.

46 min: We're back under way, no changes.

HALF TIME: Sorry guys my internet connection went dead again. You didn't miss much other that that Reading equaliser being a false rumour and Stokes firing well wide from distance. Palace certainly aren't rolling over but after a bright start both teams have settled into the long ball, long throw game and it's not very pretty.

37 min: Cotterill has been United's best player so far and he flashes a shot wide.

35 min: Cheers from the Sheffield crowd... I guess Reading have equalised. They are on top now the Blades and playing well.

33 min: Super save from Speroni. Morgan heads a corner towards goal and Ward gets a flick a yard out that somehow Speroni turns over. World class.

31 min: YELLOW CARD. Stokes swings it in to the near post and Montgomery gets it away only to be caught late by Ertl who earns a rather harsh yellow card for the challenge.

30 min: The ball is spending a lot of time in their air from both sides as Moses wins a corner.

25 min: Birmingham have taken the lead at Reading...if it stays like that they are up no matter what Sheffield United do here.

22 min: YELLOW CARD. Lawrence is slow to react and loses the ball, hacking Naughton down afterwards and receiving a booking for it.

20 min: Corner to Palace taken by Stokes, headed back across goal by McCarthy and volleyed wide by Danns, he should atleast have got that on target.

19 min: Danns gets into the box but a good tackle from Montgomery stops him in his tracks.

17 min: Naughton lets fly from miles out and it doesn't go too far wide.

15 min: United look a bit nervous and keep giving the ball away far too easily. Palace for their part seem to be intent on playing long aimless balls high to Kuqi.

10 min: Moses turns Naughton inside out there with some lovely tricks and wins a free kick. Stokes delivers to the back post but it's easy for Kenny and he launches a counter attack from which Cotterill's cross gifts Henderson a free header at the back post...he puts it wide though. Should have done better.

7 min: It's quite a good start this. Fonte nudges over Ward over in the area and the away fans want a penalty but nothing given, quite right too. Palace go up the other end and Danns almost puts Kuqi in. The Eagles are not here just to make up the numbers today.

2 min: Halford lines up a free kick fully 35 yards out but it dribbles low and wide.

Really good atmospohere on show today with the Palace fans giving as good as they get here. As Warnock comes out he gets a huge ovation after signing his contract extension yesterday.

Palace make two changes to the side that lost at Doncaster last week with Jose Fonte replacing Clyne in defence and Victor Moses is back in place of Rui Fonte.

Some good news announced before the game by Palace with Nathaniel Clyne signing a new three-year deal so hopefully that will put off any potential Premiership suitors.
