Neal Ardley has admitted that a lack of goals has cost AFC Wimbledon a potential place in the League Two play-offs.
Any hopes of reaching the top seven were dashed in recent weeks with the Dons failing to win any of their past six matches.
Saturday’s 0-0 stalemate at home to Wycombe Wanderers was the fifth goalless draw in 16 games.
In that time, Dons have scored 13 goals, including two own goals and a penalty.
Ardley said: “Scoring a goal is what we have been lacking. It’s pretty simple really.

“We had a lot of good chances at Plymouth, they did as well and they caused us problems at times.
“But Oxford hardly caused us a problem and their goal keeper made four or five good saves.”
He added: “Against Wycombe, the keeper’s had a few saves, we were getting in the right positions and we had a couple of decisions taken away from us.”
The Dons go to Bury on Saturday before hosting Cheltenham in their final match of the season.
