Dean Moxey believes Crystal Palace still have a slim hope of promotion despite the shrinking number of remaining games.

Saturday's 0-0 draw with Hull City at Selhurst Park left the Eagles in 13th place in the Championship, nine points off the play-offs with 10 games to go.

But left-back Moxey, who also has his eye on his own personal goals between now and April 28 having missed three months due to injury, is not giving up on the top six just yet.

"I think there is still a slight chance," he said.

"There is still a lot to play for and it’s going to be tough but we just have to go and do what we can do.

"I’m looking to get fully fit now and push on to the end of the season.

"I want to be in the team until the end of the season, that’s what I want to do."

The former Derby County man was kept company during his three-month lay-off by Jonathan Williams, a footballer who Moxey admires and who made his own comeback from injury in the 0-0 with Hull City at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

"Jonny is a fantastic player," he said.

"It’s good to have him back in the fold.

"He’s worked hard in rehab and I was there with him for a couple of months.

"It’s been tough for him, going away with Wales and getting the injury as before then he was flying, but he’s come back and you can see he hasn’t lost it at all. "There was a bit of banter flying about when we were injured.

"It’s always hard to be injured, watching the lads training, and it was nice to have someone else injured with me as it’s even worse on your own."
