Boss Uwe Rosler has described Brentford skipper Kevin O'Connor's continued absence as a major blow.
The 29-year-old has been out of action since being stretchered off in the FA Cup first round win over Basingstoke Town in November with a foot injury, but had been close to returning to full training last month.
But, after a setback, O'Connor underwent minor surgery this week to correct the problem and is expected to be sidelined for at least another month.
"I am devastated that I can't use Kevin," said Rosler.
"I need him on the pitch and I need him in and around the place with his attitude, his mentality and his training culture.
"He is a big, big miss for us."
