Marcus Bent is very unlikely to be joining AFC Wimbledon according to manager Terry Brown.
The 33-year-old former Birmingham City, Crystal Palace and Brentford striker is out of contract and has been linked with a move to Kingsmeadow.
Brown has made no secret of the fact he would like to add another striker to his squad but he does not expect that striker to be Bent.
"We are going to be linked with any player who is not with a club and lives in the area," he said.
"Marcus ticks both of those boxes and we would like to have him on board but the chances of it happening are pie in the sky right now.
"There has been no movement on players coming in this week and there won't be."
Another player linked with the Dons was Jason Euell, who played for the old Wimbledon, but he joined Charlton Athletic yesterday.
