Dougie Freedman has started the mind games with counterpart and former manager Neil Warnock ahead of their meeting tomorrow.

The Crystal Palace manager will compete against the man who ended his Eagles playing career when he released the Scot in 2008 having made it clear he was not in his plans.

The pair meet again tomorrow as Palace, with just one win on the road all season, travel to Warnock's Queens Park Rangers, who have been defeated only once on their own patch and are seven points clear at the top of the league.

All that has led Freedman to proclaim Rangers as favourites for the game but that his squad will battle them all the way.

"It is a game that QPR on paper should win, on form should win and pretty much will win," he said.

"But my lads will not go there and roll over, they will fight and Neil Warnock's team are going to have to fight to beat us.

"They probably will but so what, my lads will turn up and they won't lie down.

"It will be good a game and I am really looking forward to this.

"I have got an idea that hopefully will come off and it is a good challenge for my players."
