AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley wants more than a "bit of momentum" after another display of individual rather than team spirit.

The Dons took the lead against League Two play-off hopefuls Burton Albion through new boy Gary Alexander.

However, Albion drew level through their own new signing when Michael Symes made the most of some slack defending.

Albion's Zander Diamond was sent off with 15 minutes remaining for an off-the-ball incident with Pim Balkestein - however, the Dons could not make the most of their numerical advantage.

The draw extends the Dons unbeaten run to five games, but it also saw them drop to the foot of the table.

Ardley said: "We didn't do enough, but they battled well and limited us to few chances.

"I've told some players that they have to stop playing their own game and start playing the game as a team and stick to the script.

"We can't afford to keep dropping points. It becomes a problem when people stop doing their jobs, there is a bit of momentum there - but it's still not good enough."

Ardley's men face a tough trip to the League Two leaders Port Vale tomorrow night.
