Free day at the races for Epsom and Ewell residents

Everyone living Epsom and Ewell is being invited to attend Epsom Downs Racecourse for free this year as part of the borough’s 75th anniversary.

The racecourse, which has staged the Derby since 1780, is throwing open its doors to all residents in the borough by offering free tickets to the Investec Spring Meeting on Wednesday, April 25. The Investec Spring Meeting signals the start of the racing season and features the first race in the "Road to the Derby" - The Investec Derby Trial. Racing starts at 2pm with gates opening at 12 noon.

This year will also see the 233rd Investec Epsom Derby Festival, held on Friday June 1 and 2 which will be the first event attended by the Queen as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
