Former Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri wants to take over at Crystal Palace.

Ranieri, who won the Premier League title with the Foxes last year, is a wanted man in Europe.

He has an offer on the table from Ligue 1 club Nantes, but is interested in a return to England.

Ranieri has been out of work since February after his dismissal at the King Power Stadium - and has been linked to top-flight jobs.

And Palace, who still need to find Sam Allardyce’s successor, could see the Italian coach as an ideal replacement.

Palace chiefs spoke to Sean Dyche, Mauricio Pellegrino and Roger Schmidt last week about the vacant managerial role.

And the Telegraph reports that Ranieri would be open to talk to Eagles chairman Steve Parish, who is understood to be keen on the Premier League title winner.
