Surrey's Matt Spriegel believes the side's failure in this year's Twenty20 competition has been down to players not performing as a team.
The Brown Caps have secured just one win from six matches including Sunday's six wicket defeat to Sussex the puts them bottom of the competition's South Division.
And Spriegel, who is yet to be dismissed in the competition, insists they must start playing as a team to salvage some pride in a tournament that had bee targeted for some silverware.
"In every game some individuals have performed well while others haven't. Not everyone has performed at the same level and that has cost us," he said.
"Because there are 10 games in 18 days, if you get on a run - whether it is a winning or losing one - it is hard to get out of it."
