Sutton Cricket Club has a new president.
Ian Philippe, a member of the of the club since the 1960s, becomes their eight president in their 155-year history, taking over from Ken Ohlson OBE who stood down at last week's AGM.
Chairman, Ron Lambe, his officers, and committee members for 2011 were all re-elected unopposed for 2012 and Keith Booth was elected vice-president.
Ohlson stood down after 30-years' service as president and was immediately elevated to past president.
For the coming season, Gary Outram continues as first XI captain, with Dave Mitchell acting as vice-captain.
The club’s pre-league season begins on Saturday April 14th with the first XI playing a friendly at Bickley Park CC, (Kent;) and the second XI playing Bickley’s second XI at Cheam Road.
