Richmond wraps up league

Richmond Indoor Bowling Club played their last League match against King George Field BC, narrowly missing out on the title by six shots.

Richmond won on one rink to secure four league points, with KG Field winning 58-53 overall.

Richmond's top rink was Colin Nolan, Eric Gough, Brian Lawton & Terry Guntripp, who beat DChristmas(skip) 21-11.

The results are as follows.

Competition Winners, Score, Runners-Up: Ladies Championship: Iris Collins, 21 - 9 Daphne Hawes.

Men's Championship: Mike Hickman 21 - 15 Barry Porter, Ladies 2 Wood Singles: Daphne Hawes 14 - 10 Rene Couchman.

Ladies Open Pairs: Daphne Hawes, Iris Collins 23 - 16 Alison Crimp, Jane Taylor.

Ladies Drawn Pairs: Edna Wheaton & Alison Crimp 29 - 7 Pauline Blackie & Iris Collins.

Mixed Pairs: Rene Couchman, Brian Lawton 27 -17 Daphne Hawes, Alan Meek.

Men's Pairs: Phil Gregory, Kevin Nichols 23 - 12 Peter Hickman, Mike Hickman.
