Oddballs from Epsom secure promotion

Epsom Oddballs’ ladies team will compete in the top division of the Surrey Cross Country Leagues for the first time in their history next season.

The team secured promotion from Division Two last Saturday as they won the final fixture of the season in Esher, backing up their victory in the previous meeting, to take the title.

Sarah Pemberton was the top performer as she came home in third place overall, finishing in 31 minutes, 18 seconds, only 32 seconds between winner Emily Alden of Epsom & Ewell Harriers.

Becky McNicholas, seventh in 32:48, Caroline Mollison eighth in 34:13, Hannah Brinsden, 11th in 34:30m, and Charlotte Carter, 36th in 38:44, made up the rest of the scoring team.
