Ravenstone claim sportshall victory

Olympic sprinter Rikki Fifton visited Wandsorth’s school sportshall finals at Battersea Sports Centre last week.

Some of the participants will go forward to represent the borough at the Balfour Beatty London Mini Youth Games on July 1 - an event at which Wandsworth have triumphed in seven of the past eight years.

Six primary schools contested the sportshall format, with Ravenstone Primary winning from Sacred Heart School and Belleville Primary. As a former London Youth Games participant, Fifton was an interested spectator.

Fifton, 24, who represented Tower Hamlets in the 2001 London Youth Games, ran for Team GB in the 4x100m at the 2008 Olympics and 2009 World Championships.
