South London Harriers' women won their first outing of the cross country season in Surrey League Division One on Saturday as their first scoring team runners all placed within the top 25 finishers.
Georgie Bruinvels took second place in 22.59, Beckie Woodland was 11th in 25.42, Gemma Marrs 15th in 26.01, Pippa Major 24th in 26.32 and Ruth Hutton 25th in 26.34.
The Senior Men were sixth in their event with Jason Simpson the first of their ten to score home in ninth in 28.13.
Matt Chapman was 34th in 29.47, Chris Phelan 43rd in 30.31, Glenn Quarton 50th in 30.55, David Ogden 51st in 31.00, Paul Hone 52nd in 31.03, Michael Lloyd 54th in 31.12, David Baker 57th in 31.19, Phil Scarles 71st in 32.24 and Paul Mitchell 85th in 33.38.
The U15/17 boys were second with Martin Parry sixth in 14.54, Adam Gye 11th in 15.47, Max Wheeler 12th in 15.54, Ben Foreman 17th in 16.26 and Brett Parry 22nd in 19.26.
The U13 boys were also second with another fine run from Tom Holden seeing him finish second in 15.07, Lawrence Rook was fourth in 16.18, Aaron Wells 11th in 18.55 and Tom Goldsack 15th in 19.47.
The U15 girls were fifth in their event with only two competing. Sophie Foreman was eighth in 17.29 and Ruth Myburgh ninth in 17.44.
The U13 girls A team was third with two further teams finishing fourth and 12th.
Alex Roberts was ninth in 14.05, Amy Billups 10th, also in 14.05, Keanua Phillips-Darko 12th in 14.14 and Georgia Holden 13th in 14.15.
Last weekend’s Young Athletes’ Cross Country Relays held at Stoke Park Guildford was well represented by South London Harriers with the following results.
In the U13 boys races SLH’s A team was fourth with Lawrence Rook timing 8.28, Aaron Wells 9.04 and Tom Holden 7.35. Tom was the second fastest in his age group.
Tom Susselmilch in 9.57 and Matt Rook 10.03, took part in a combined non-scoring team.
The U13 girls had four complete teams running with the A team of Keauna Phillips-Darko 9.37, Amy Billups 9.20 and Alex Roberts 9.40, finishing sixth, the B team eighth, the C team 21st and the D team 14th.
In the U15 boys event, SLH’s A team of Ben Foreman, 8.33, Jonathan Wiseman, 9.03 and Tom Aubertin, 8.56 were 11th with the B Team finishing 17th.
The girls U15 had two teams with the A finishing sixth. Ruth Myburgh timing 8.28, Maria Kavanagh 9.23 and Sophie Foreman 8.36. The B team were 17th.
In the U17 age group, the boys A team were ninth with Martin Parry timing 7.26, Adam Atkins, 8.10 and Greg Campbell 8.02. The B Team were 11th.
Helen Wilson represented SLH in the U17 girls, timing 8.15.
