Terry Brown has promised goals at Kingsmeadow next season after revealing AFC Wimbledon will adopt a 4-3-3 formation.

The Dons boss has already snapped up Chris Sullivan from Braintree Town to boost his attacking options and, with further strikers expected to arrive, Brown is predicting fireworks.

He said: "It is always important to get your strikers in place.

"They are the key components of any successful side.

"We will be playing 4-3-3 next season and will be looking for goals.

"At the moment, I have Steve Finn, Jon Main and Sullivan, but I am hoping to bring in another striker this week."

Brown advocated an attacking brand of football last season as the Dons won promotion to Blue Square South via the play-offs. But he is predicting even better times ahead.

He added: "We will be playing more football this year.

"We have a lovely playing surface and we need to take advantage.

"You can be very successful playing route-one football but, as a club, we have made a conscious decision to play more attractive football."

Dons head to Bath this weekend for a training camp and Brown hopes the squad, with his raft of new signings, will bond quickly.

One player who may yet join the party is Hampton & Richmond's attacking midfielder Elliott Godfrey.

Brown said: "We are talking to Elliott but I am not sure whether he'll come here.

"He is having talks with a number of clubs, but he may stay at Hampton."

I bet Brown didn't say he had 'Steve Finn' - who is he? He may have said 'Tony Finn' as we have him at Wimbledon... ;-)
