Florent Rossigneaux reckons his Rosslyn Park side are right on track after his charges eased into the top half of the National League One at the weekend.

The 33-24 win at Tynedale hoisted Park up to sixth in the table, their highest placing this campaign.

And Rossigneaux sees no reason why his side cannot climb even further.

He said: “At the start of the season I set a target of finishing in the top half of the table.

“I am a natural pessimist so I did not give a specific target.

“For me it is all about developing a squad that can mature at this club over a number of years and we are seeing that.

“We are progressing week by week and producing a style of rugby that really works for us.

“We have the right philosophy, the right mentality and the ability, it is just a case of putting it together.”

The win at Tynedale saw Paul Unseld (two), Chris Lewis and Amo Tauialo claim tries.

And the coach is delighted with how his side are performing on the road.

Rossigneaux added: “We always commit ourselves to having an excellent record at home so the key to our improvement is winning away.

“If we can keep winning at home and pick up a couple of wins away suddenly you are in a very good position.

“For us to go and perform like we did at Tynedale is very encouraging and will give us a lot of belief.”

Rosslyn return to Priory Lane this weekend as they host Stourbridge.

And Rossigneaux is expecting a tough encounter.

He added: “Stourbridge will be a real challenge as they are an extremely physical side.

“They have a big set of forwards and will really test us and we have to be prepared for that.”

Rosslyn Park’s next three matches: Oct 23 Stourbridge (h), 30 Sedgeley Park (a), Nov 6 Cinderford (h)
