Wilfried Zaha and Patrick van Aanholt’s second-half goals helped Crystal Palace tie their best Premier League finish since 2015.

The Eagles scored twice within ten minutes late on as they defeated West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park.

Newcastle United’s big 3-0 win over Chelsea meant they could only finish as high as 11th but the victory meant they could celebrate what has been a tough campaign.

Here’s how we rated Crystal Palace’s players…

Wayne Hennessey - 6 - Became more involved in the game as the first-half drew to a close, forced to clear loose balls away as West Brom countered.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 9 - Had a very impactful first-half where he found himself nearer to West Brom’s penalty box than his own. Kept McClean at bay.

Mamadou Sakho - 6 - Passing into the attack was wayward and looked lost going forward, but he otherwise did decently to keep Rondon quiet.

James Tomkins - 6 - Got booked by referee Jonathan Moss after he sent winger James McClean flying with his sliding challenge. Rondon almost punished him after he was chased down.

Patrick van Aanholt - 9 - Excellent performance, combative and solid on both ends of the pitch. Assisted Zaha’s opener before scoring the second. Man of the match.

James McArthur - 6 - Was booked for an alleged dive after being set through by Zaha, a decision which was ridiculed by the Palace support. Later substituted for Benteke.

Yohan Cabaye - 6 - Looked engaged and helped keep Palace ticking over as usual. Tried to make things happen.

Luka Milivojevic - 7 - Had a shot at goal in the first-half which threatened to put Palace ahead, got clipped a couple times for his troubles. Big presence in the middle.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - 7 - Overcame a troublesome first-half with Allan Nyom and frequent fouls in the second-half. Made a difference down the left side.

Andros Townsend - 6 - Made an absolute blunder of his finish after being released by Zaha on the hour, but nearly assisted Zaha for the game’s first goal on the hour. Hot and cold.

Wilfried Zaha - 8 - The April Player of the Month got Palace’s noses ahead with an easy finish after a setup from van Aanholt. Very good performance.
