Crystal Palace star Bakary Sako has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking his ankle, according to reports in France.
The winger, who is the club’s top scorer with six goals, suffered the injury against West Ham on Tuesday evening.
He has been a surprise performer for Palace in the current campaign, helping the club climb out of the relegation zone.
And while it is a huge blow for the Eagles to lose Sako, they have more options up front after signing Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth on transfer deadline day.
Very bad news for @CPFC and the fans. The scan revealed a broken ankle for @sakobakary26. Likely ruled out for several months. Huge miss for the Eagles as Sako were the best goalscorer of the club. @SFR_Sport
