Crystal Palace have had a £3.5m bid for West Ham goalkeeper Adrian rejected.

Adrian, 30, is set to be the Hammers’ number two this season following the arrival of Manchester City stopper Joe Hart.

Despite West Ham boss Slaven Bilic’s desire to offer Adrian a new contract, the Spaniard is keen to leave the club.

And the Daily Mail reports that Palace have failed with an opening bid to take the goalkeeper to Selhurst Park.

The Eagles want to bring in another goalkeeper to rival Wayne Hennessey for a starting berth.

Adrian, who has played over 100 league games for West Ham, would be a welcome addition to Frank de Boer’s squad.

But they face competition for his signature, with Newcastle believed to be keeping tabs on the former Real Betis man.
