Frank de Boer has compared Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha to Barcelona superstar Neymar.

Zaha, who starred for the Eagles last season, has impressed De Boer during their pre-season tour of Asia.

And the Palace chief reckons the former Manchester United man’s skill and trickery matches Neymar’s at Barcelona.

He told the Mirror: “What he has in his skills I think he is a lot like, if we have to give an example, for me it’s Neymar.

“He also has the quick feet and he’s gone. Very skinny, so fast, every touch, every pass.”

Neymar, who has been strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, plays with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in one of Europe’s deadliest attacks.

Zaha signed a new five-year deal with the Eagles in May which fended off interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.

De Boer added: “He [Zaha] can make some half pass in between and he is away.

“That’s a quality not many players have, to still have control at the highest speed. Neymar has it. If I have to compare with one it’s Neymar.”
