Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish denies his holiday was the reason why the club missed out on top managerial target Marco Silva.
A report on Monday night claimed the Eagles did not appoint Silva, who later joined Premier League rivals Watford, because Parish was in Spain.
Silva was allegedly in negotiations with the Hornets when he received a phone call from Palace.
And the ex-Hull boss was left unimpressed with Parish after failing to meet him in person.

However, the Palace guru took to social media to strongly deny those claims.
Parish said: “Utter Tosh. Number one target [Silva] agent begged me to see him, ok I'll fly him here or get an early flight back, next day he went to Watford.”
Palace are still looking for Sam Allardyce’s successor at Selhurst Park with Burnley boss Sean Dyche favourite to take over.
