Crystal Palace have rejected Marseille’s opening bid for Steve Mandanda, according to reports in France.

The Eagles signed Mandanda on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Marseille last summer.

But the Ligue 1 side want to bring the Selhurst Park flop back to France.

And RMC says the Eagles have rejected Marseille’s £1m bid to re-sign the goalkeeper, however, talks are expected to continue.

Mandanda experienced a tough first season in England, and failed to regain his place in the team after recovering from a knee injury.

He is behind Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni in the pecking order at Palace.
