Rob Scantlebury may have stepped down as boss of Carshalton Athletic, but he is not done with football management just yet.

The Robins avoided relegation out of Ryman Division One South by just three points after Scantlebury took over from Stuart Massey in November with the side in the bottom three.

Scantlebury's reign began in fine style with six wins in his first 11 games in charge.

However, the next 14 games only garnered one win and two draws - but it has deterred Scantlebury from getting back into a first team job.

"I want to get back into management because I enjoyed my time running the first team," he said.

"I know I have the ability to do a job, and I want to thank everyone for their help and support for the great time I had at Carshalton."

He added: "It's been a good time for me, and who knows the future will bring."
