Wimbledon head coach Ben Marsden was in philosophical mood after an England Hockey Committee handed Reading the points from their abandoned clash last weekend.
The Dons were 2-0 down at King’s College School with 10 minutes of the MHL Premier Division clash left when the lights went out due to a timing error by the school.
Marsden said: “I am quite philosophical about it, although I am disappointed that we will never know how the last 10 minutes would have gone.
“The timing error was one of those things, and we’ve been told it won’t happen again.”
Marsden is determined the incident will not dent preparations for the visit of Brooklands MU on Sunday.
"We are looking forward. We've had a good week's training, and we've had five lads on international duty," he said.
"Clearly they have not been with us, but they've been in a great environment."
