AFC Wimbledon will be without the services of George Oakley for the start of the season after boss Neal Ardley confirmed the striker has picked up a hamstring injury in training.
He told Dons Player: “George picked up a hamstring injury when we were doing some work on crossing and finishing.
“We are fearful that it could mean a few weeks out.
“He was ill for a while and it’s been a stuttering start to pre-season in terms of physicality.
“We’re just hoping that it’s not too serious.”
Meanwhile, Jake Nicholson is back in training after recovering from his own hamstring injury, which has kept him out of action for two weeks.
