Hercules Wimbledon teenager Theo Etienne showed impressive form in the Loughborough international meeting on Sunday, where he was sixth in his 100m race in a lifetime best of 10.71 seconds.

Etienne, who won the Surrey men's U17 100m and 200m titles last season, improved on his previous best of 10.93secs set at the South of England Students Championships at Lee Valley at the end of last month.

His run ranks him ninths in the UK this season in his age group.

His fellow Hercules Wimbledon sprinter Joseph Chukwuadindula gained a fine double in the Soleus Southern Men's League Division One meeting at Mile End on Saturday taking the 100m and 200m in 11.27secs and 22.62secs.

Kieran White and Jonathan Cornish gained maximum points in the 5,000m where they won the A and B races.

All-rounder David Harris had a successful week pole vaulting by securing his first-ever victory when he won the event at the Rosenheim League meeting at Battersea Park and he also won the B event at Mile End. Jared Finn won the steeplechase B race.

This weekend, Hercules Wimbledon athletes will be chasing titles and medals in the annual Surrey track and field championships at Kingsmeadow stadium.

The sction begins at 10am on both Saturday and Sunday.

Rechmial Miller, the England indoor 60m sprint champion, will be aiming for gold in the men's U17 100m with his younger brother Chad also chasing gold in the U15 100m event.

Hercules Wimbledon contest their second Rosenheim League Eastern Division meeting of the season at Croydon Sports Arena next Wednesday (May 28) starting at 6.45pm.
