Figures have revealed Crystal Palace’s first season back in the Premier League since 2005 earned the club at least £73.2million.

The Eagles were guaranteed a £52.2m share of TV money even before a ball had been kicked and having been broadcast live ten times throughout 2013-14, Palace also picked up an additional £8.6m.

And with £12.4m being banked for placing 11th in the final table, the Selhurst Park club ended up raking in a staggering £73,207,049 from TV companies and the Premier League.

But as impressive as those sums sound for a club who were in administration as recently as 2010, it is worth pointing out Palace were only 13th in the Premier League table of wealth.

Liverpool may have blown the title at Selhurst Park but they topped the pile with a combined income of £97,544,336 ahead of Man City (£96.5m), Chelsea (£94.1m) and Arsenal (£92.8m).

However, the figures do not include Palace’s ticket revenues, sponsorships and individual commercial deals so the final income figures promise to be considerably higher than £73.2m.
