| Fonts |
Due to copyright law the company can only use/output fonts that it holds licenses for.
A selection of approximately 250 is available, a copy of which is available on request. The company will not, under any circumstances, load fonts onto its system supplied by a customer or agency.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that only legal fonts are used in their advertisement. |
| Colour |
| All four colour or spot colour ads must be supplied in CMYK. |
| Adfast |
Newsquest is registered with Adfast.
Please inform your sales representative at Newsquest if an ad is being sent Adfast. |
| Graphics |
The preferred formats are Photoshop TIF and EPS, JPEG (Macintosh Format).
4 colour images to be 300dpi @ 100 lines per inch.
We do not accept TIF files with LZW compression, EPS files that have been JPEGed or DCS files. |
| Illustrator Files |
The preferred format is a Illustrator EPS with ALL fonts outlined (Macintosh Format).
We do not accept imported or placed images with LZW compression or EPS files that have been JPEGed. |
| Acrobat Files |
The preferred format is PDF EPS.
Print: 4 colour ICC profiles CMYK.
Export: EPS with TIFF preview, Binary, Postscript level 1, fonts all embedded. We do not accept imported or placed images with LZW compression or EPS files that have been JPEGed.
Please note: If sending a straight PDF file, make sure the setting for colour conversion are set at colours unchanged and the option fields are all set in the distiller ISDN (Integrated Systems Digital Network).

We do have an email facility, however we will not accept files above 4mb in size and it is only available by prior arrangement.
Generally, we do not accept adverts via email.
If email is used PDF is the preferred format file. |
