After a number of disappointing results yesterday, Monday is so far offering more positive news.
Croydon's Lawrence Okoye kept spectators on the edge of their seats after leaving it until his last throw to qualify for the final where he achieved an automatic qualifying distance.
Lawrence's was the forth longest throw of the qualifiers.

Seb Coe has been championing the inspirational effects of the Olympic Games at the park this morning.
Coe said the way people had embraced the Games was "probably one of the most extraordinary things in my lifetime."
He drew a parallel with the shocking riots one year ago, saying: "I think I said at the time, I saw a London I didn't recognise."
Coe went on: "What I'm seeing at the moment is a London that I do recognise.
"It's particularly uplifting because so much of this is now impacting on young people."

From 9.30am there's kayaking - we'll be keeping an eye out for Tim Brabbants, Jessica Walker and Louisa Sawer
Laurence Okoye kicks off the athletics action at 10am with the discus. We'll also be watching Teddington resident Andrew Osagie in round one of the 800m.
In this evening's athletics we'll be checking up on Margaret Adeoye and Abi Oyepitan in the 200m heats.
And of course we'll be cheering Team GB in the handball, basketball, water polo and hockey.
