The public are being asked to steer clear of certain pastry items from Aldi after the company advised they may contain metal.
In a facebook post, the supermarket giant said its supplier, Addo Food Group, advised "as a precautionary measure" to recall items such as sausage rolls and minced steak slices as "they may contain small pieces of metal."
The list of items being recalled are:
- Crestwood 6 Puff Pastry Sausage Rolls 360g
- Crestwood 6 Puff Pastry Cheese & Onion Rolls 360g
- Crestwood 10 Snack Sausage Rolls
- Crestwood 10 Snack Lincolnshire Sausage Rolls
- Crestwood Puff Pastry Minced Steak Slices (2s)
- Crestwood Puff Pastry Chicken & Mushroom Slices (2s).
All batches with a use by d from June 4, 2018 could be affected.
"Please do not consume this product," the Aldi post said.
"Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation."
