Residents are being urged to have a say over Merton's first film festival.

The borough has won funding from the Mayor of London Cultural impact awards and Merton Culture Group are calling all filmmakers and film lovers to join them to discuss the 2019 event at a meeting at Morden Hall National Trust Stable Yard, Morden Hall Road on April 24.

Chairman of the Advisory Group John Merriman said: “We are keen for the festival to be deeply rooted in the borough, so this early call is intended to awaken all aspects of the industry and amateurs to the incredible opportunity this festival will bring.”

The meeting will run from 1.15pm to 4pm.
