A brand new support centre designed to help young people make a start in business has opened in Pollards Hill Estate.
The project led by London Youth Support Trust is a new community facility which invites people living in the area to develop their skills and consider the options available to them to set up a business.
The studio comprises seven workspaces, one-to-one mentoring, digital skills training and a wide range of services available for free.
In partnership with Moat Homes and United Living the studio was opened by MP Siobhain Mcdonagh.
On the enterprise centre Siobhain Mcdonaigh said: “ This is a wonderful opportunity for young people of the Pollards Hill area and I look forward to coming back and meeting some of the young entrepreneurs and see how they are getting on.”
Subsidised workspace is also available starting from £40 per month with the centre on the ground floor of Moat's offices on the Pollards Hill Estate.
London Youth Support Trust established in 2000 have re-purposed 12 buildings in to enterprise centres in areas of urban deprivation across London and supported over 1,500 young people to start a business.
The studios will be open between Monday and Friday from 9am to 5pm.
